Join us during NBA Green Week presented by Sprint to see how YOU CAN REIMAGINE everyday items that would normally be reduced or recycled—or maybe even thrown away! Teacher, parents, and youth organizations are encouraged to help kids in grades 3–8 understand the power of reimagining during the month of April. Here's how:
NBA Green is a league-wide program in partnership with the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and the Green Sports Alliance that generates awareness and funds for protecting the environment. The league and its teams and players are taking steps to be more environmentally friendly and are encouraging fans to make small acts of green that have a BIG impact! Click here for more information about NBA Green.
From April 3–10, 2014, NBA Green Week presented by Sprint will highlight NBA teams across the league hosting environmental initiatives including in-arena awareness nights, recycling programs, hands-on service projects, green giveaways and promotions to inspire fans to "go green." Adidas—the league's official oncourt apparel provider—will outfit all players with 100 percent organic cotton Adidas shooting shirts, available at NBAStore.com.
Presented by Sprint! From April 3–10, 2014, share what you are doing to "go green" for a chance to win a trip to the NBA Finals! Post your acts of green on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram using the #NBAGreen and tagging @Sprint and @NBACares. Click here for a chance to see your picture and what others are doing to go NBA Green!
