Dear Teachers,
In order to help you facilitate the process of signing up your
students for an account on the BKFK website and entering their
ideas/inventions into the BKFK competitions, we have outlined
the steps to take below. Using these steps, you will act as the
“proxy parent” for your students after collecting their parent
permission forms.
Please note this process is granting permission to enter into
the competitions ONLY. There is a separate parental
permission process for our enhanced features of our idea locker,
(such as; chatting, messaging, and idea sharing). Should you
have any questions please check our FAQs section of the website.
Please follow the instructions below.
1. Go to the Parent section; you can use the link at the bottom of
the homepage www.bkfk.com.
2. Sign-up for a Parent account here or you can click the GO button next
to “Join Now”.
3. Keep track of your parent account username and password.
4. Your students will each need to set up their own account
– you can either sign-up your students for their own
individual kid accounts or have them do it. They can sign up
from the homepage – www.bkfk.com
5. Each student will need their username and password to
log into their account.
6. Have your students log in to their account and enter
your information (First and Last name and E-mail address) in
the parent information area under “My Profile” in
their locker. If your students are under 13, they will
have to fill in this information when they register.
7. Print and photo copy the parental permission forms for
each competition by clicking on the links below:

8. Send home with your students the appropriate form for
the competition they are entering. Each competition has
separate rules and therefore requires a separate permission
form signed. (for example: if a student is entering the
Signature Style Challenge and the Going Green Challenge you
will need to send home both of those parent permission forms
for signature.)
9. Have parents sign the permission forms and return them
to you.
10. Once you have the signed form back from the parent you
can then grant permission to your students to enter the
competition. They will be prompted to request permission
when their entry is ready to be submitted to the
competition. Since they have entered your email in the
parent information area you will receive the request and
will need to agree to the rules on behalf of the parent.
