Adnan A. Durrani
Mr. Durrani is President of Condor Ventures, Inc., a private venture
firm that invests in, and provides strategic consulting for technology
as well as consumer product companies. Mr. Durrani is also a Venture
Partner of Blue Chip Venture Co., with over $600 million in managed
funds, and currently heads up Blue Chip’s Stamford, Connecticut
office. Mr. Durrani was the founder of Vermont Pure Holdings, which
he led to an IPO (Amex, VPS). Mr. Durrani was also one of the founding
partners of socially driven Stonyfield Farms, Inc., a leading natural
& organic yogurt brand also with over $75 million in sales,
and whose private sale he recently led to Danone, SA. Mr. Durrani
was also a partner in Frookies cookies, which successfully promoted
a number of well known novelty licenses, such as Power Rangers and
Ninja Turtles (Mr. Durrani led the sale of this enterprise to Parmalat,
SA in 2001).
Andy Gibbs
Mr. Gibbs is the founder and CEO of PatentCafe, the world’s
leading online provider of intellectual property management software
for patent law firms and enterprise organizations. PatentCafe's
seven web properties deliver intellectual property information,
products, services and data resources relating to patents, trademarks
and trade secrets to more than 1/2 million visitors each month.
Andy was appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce to two terms
on the US Patent & Trademark Office’s Public Patent Advisory
Committee, and also sits on the Board of Directors of the Intellectual
Property Owners Association. He is a named inventor on 7 issued
or pending patents in the fields of medical devices, software, automotive
accessories, sporting goods and electronics.
Douglas Mellinger
Mr. Mellinger is Vice-Chairman of Foundation Source, the nation's
leading provider of outsourced services for private foundations. He
is an Entrepreneur in Residence at Clark University and also sits on
the Board of Edgar Online (NASDAQ: EDGR), Ascentis/EBS,
International Education Corporation. Previously, he was a Partner at
Interactive Capital Partners where he founded six companies,
including Foundation Source. Before, Interactive Capital Partners,
he was Chairman and CEO of Enherent and currently serves on the
Board of the company (NASDAQ: ENHT.OB). Mr. Mellinger was named
Entrepreneur of the Year for New England and a finalist for the
National Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year award by Ernst and Young
and Inc Magazine in 1993.
George Gendron
George is the founder and Director of the
Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program at Clark University. He
is responsible for inspiring and fostering the entrepreneurial
spirit of numerous Clark students. Gendron served as the
Editor-in-Chief of Inc. Magazine for two decades, growing the
renowned publication into the premier magazine for all small to
mid-sized growing companies. Under his direction, Inc. accomplished
a great deal. Among his greatest achievements was the creation of
the Inc. 500, the first list of America’s fastest-growing private
companies. In 1997, Gendron formed a joint venture with Michael
Porter of the Harvard Business School to publish the Inner City 100,
a ranking of the fastest-growing companies in America’s inner
cities. Gendron has also co-authored and narrated Inc.’s
best-selling video, “How to Really Start Your Own Business,” which
went on to win the American Film Institute Award for outstanding
business and economic programming.
Gregory H. Barnhill
Partner and
Senior member of the Board for Brown Advisory Securities, LLC, former
Managing Director North American Equities, Deutsche Bank Securities, Mr. Barnhill is an active civic leader and a member of the board
of several companies and non-profit organizations, foundations and
societies including: NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center Baltimore
Incubator, Alex Brown & Sons Charitable Foundation, Faberge
Arts Foundation, and the International Youth Foundation.
Jack Wilson
Mr.Wilson is an independent consultant and former senior tax
partner at Ernst & Young. Over 30 years of federal, state, and local
tax experience. Jack is a highly seasoned financial manager.
James A. Jorasch
Mr. Jorasch is a named inventor on more than 175 issued patents,
200+ pending US patents, 10 issued foreign patents, and 100 pending
foreign patents. Mr. Jorasch has helped incubate a number of businesses
over the past 10 years. He has developed procedures for evaluating
the commercial potential of large invention portfolios. Mr. Jorasch
was a management consultant with Deloitte & Touche. As a Financial
Analyst with the Tropicana Resort and Casino, he acted as the games
expert at the company. For recreation he plays in chess, poker,
Scrabble and backgammon tournaments.
Kenneth S. Brown
Mr. Brown is a Founding Shareholder, Director and past General
Counsel of International Barcode Corporation, where he also serves
as Director of IBC’s Chinese Joint Venture, Sinosoft. He is former
Special Counsel to the Manhattan Law Firm of Thelen Reid Brown
Raysman & Steiner, and past Chairman of the Real Estate Department
of Baer Marks & Upham. He is a Director of Kalkin Development
(Thailand) Company Ltd, a developer of resort properties in SE Asia.
Mr. Brown is also a Director of CFC, the Center Conciliation;
Honorary President of New York City’s Chapter of the American Jewish
Committee; and he also serves on the Board of Governors, AJC
National.
