Job Title: Technology Director
Reports to: Director of Marketing

Location: Stamford, CT
You are a technology project manager or
senior web developer with 5-8 years of experience in specifying,
developing, and launching web applications. You are ready to move into a
management role and are looking for an opportunity to become a leader.
You are passionate about social networking and business development and
are ready to build the technology department for a rapidly growing web
company. Your experience includes:
o Experience developing and supporting Microsoft web-based applications
utilizing ASP and SQL.
o Experience with various programming languages and assists in
establishing standards applied across project teams.
o Client/server and internet systems architectures and assists in
establishing standards applied across project teams.
o BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline preferred
o 5-8 years programming experience with increasing responsibilities toward
management experience.
Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures,
formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and
procedures.
We are seeking a technology director to lead our web development in our
next phase of growth. We are making a move from a small team with
external developers to bringing services in house and need a technology
guru to guide our way. It is a hands-on role, developing the department
while doing site development. This person will be on-site and will need
to immediately step into a leadership role including the following
responsibilities:
o Provide leadership and strategic planning for the information services
policies and procedures for BKFK.
o Oversee the technical side of web development, taking our existing site
and assessing the planned enhancements, developing a plan for execution,
and developing a technology strategy.
o Identify reusable code from our site, suggest additional code
development methods and ensures high quality creation of code.
o Build, recruit and manage the department.
o Reviews, evaluates, and approves proposals for hardware or software
acquisition.
o Participates in development, implementation, and maintenance of
policies, objectives, short- and long-range planning; develops tracking
and evaluation programs to assist in accomplishment of established
goals.
